Special Counsel

Samantha is an experienced international employment lawyer with two decades practising in a wide range of workplace law disputes in Australia and the UK. These include grievance and disciplinary investigations, unfair dismissal and general protections, bonus and breach of contract, restraint of trade, whistleblowing and discrimination, including sexual harassment.

Samantha developed her expertise in the City of London, conducting high profile whistleblowing and discrimination cases, as well as highly confidential cases – typically in sensitive negotiations and exit situations – predominately in the legal and financial sectors. Samantha has practiced in partnership law as well as employment law, with much of her practice on behalf of individual employees, executives, directors and partners. This includes advisory and non-contentious matters as well as dispute resolution.

A partner in two of the UK’s leading employment law firms, Samantha then headed up a national workplace law practice in Australia for several years, dealing with matters in the Fair Work Commission and Federal Courts, Australian Human Rights Commission and state commissions, across all industry sectors.

Samantha has regularly featured as a broadcast media employment law expert opining on discrimination, dismissal, whistleblowing, underpayments and workplace dynamics.
